Gamer News: Capcom Announces Resident Evil 6! Chris and Leon are back to slay!

Capcom announced that Resident Evil 6 will be released November 20th 2012 to XBOX 360 and Playstation 3 and a release date for PC to follow soon. Leon Kennedy and Chris Redfeild are said to be playable characters each set with their own team with their own separate campaign stories that might branch together.

Trophy says, “I don’t know about the new fighting style combat… I hope it isn’t too much like that. With all the melee love Left 4 Dead 2, Dead Rising 2 and Dead Island get I hope Resident Evil isn’t jumping in to follow with them. Melee fighting is fun but when facing zombies and monsters that last thing you want to do is slap one. I love guns… and a melee should be last choice. I LOVE anything Resident Evil so OF COURSE I am gonna get it! “

MASS EFFECT 3 will have Multiplayer and HALO 4!

Since BioWare developers started hinting us about Mass Effect 3 they keep going back and forth wether or not the game will include a multiplayer mode. In the new issue of XBOX WORLD Magazine (Issue 108) right on the cover says “MASS EFFECT 3, NEW LEVELS AND MULTIPLAYER!” So it should be safe to say that Yes, Mass Effect 3 will have some sort of multiplayer mode.

Mass Effect 3 is being developed by BioWare and Electronic Arts and is being made for XBOX 360, Playstation 3 and Windows PC. The game is set to be released on March 6th, 2012.

Oh yea and did you see on the right side… HALO 4!

Trophy says, “I loved Mass Effect 2, and I will of course get Mass Effect 3 and even better now that it will be having some sort of multiplayer mode to it. Halo 4, hey why not. I will play that to.”

Mortal Kombat Freddy Krueger Compatibility Pack also includes Sub-Zero outfits!

Netherrealm Studios developers having been adding new DLC Characters monthly for all those Mortal Kombat fans. With the DLC, they also add free compatibility downloads for gamers who do not purchase the DLCs. With this you will be able to still play with those gamers who did purchase the DLC and fight against the new characters and see the new costumes. The new DLC which will give gamers the chance to play as Freddy Kreuger will bring its compatibility pack #4 but with the 4th one you will also get two Sub-Zero costumes.

Once downloaded, the pack grants access to “Klassic Sub-Zero” (as he appeared in Mortal Kombat 3), and “Retro Cyber Sub-Zero,” another cyborg ninja variant and a consistently effective sign that we’re talking about video games here.

The MK9 Freddy Krueger DLC is available on Xbox Live and PlayStation Network for $5 (400 Microsoft Points), or as part of the Mortal Kombat Season Pass for $15.

Trophy says, “I am glad they add a little extra with the costumes… $5 for a character to me seems kinda a lot. But since I got the Mortal Kombat Season Pass, I am getting Freddy for free… so all is cool. Who else is excited to play as Freddy Krueger!”

Dead Space 2: New Free Multiplayer Maps from Outbreak DLC!

Visceral Games has announced that are going to release a FREE DLC pack for Dead Space 2. The DLC will contain two new maps for the Dead Space 2 multiplayer mode. The map pack Outbreak will showcase two new maps, The Academy and Concourse, locations from the single-player campaign. The DLC will be ready for download on May 31st for Xbox Live and June 3rd on PlayStation Network.

“Who’s up for some FREE new maps for Dead Space 2 multiplayer?” Visceral stated. “The team has been working hard to bring you new and exciting maps, and they’re proud to bring you their latest and greatest for FREE.”

From Visceral:

The Academy returns to The Sprawl’s eerie playschool area. Players must work together to activate a decontamination system and escape.

Concourse contains the space station’s mall section, where there’s more Necromorphs to negotiate as well as a distress signal to send.

Trophy says, “The Multilayer was fun but it wasn’t a popular hit. Sucks to them for making it have a download pass code necessary for it to be played… make people pay extra just means less people are going to play… Shitty Strategy for greedy Game Developers to use. BUT SINCE ITS FREE, I will download and see what is up.”
